• two solicitors firms, Vizards Barrister and Wyeth, merged to form a new company
• needed a new identity to express continuity, confidence and unity
strategy
• close discussions with both firms isolated a key concern: to facilitate a smooth
merger of analogous departments without unwittingly fostering a ‘them and us’ culture
• examining their existing identities helped us identify unifying visual themes to
carry over into the new design

A purely typographic logo in which the first downward and upward strokes of a W
describe a paler-blue V, captures the delicate balance between honouring the
old and embracing the new Vizards Wyeth was keen to strike. The immediately
recognisable marque now appears on all stationery, court documents, public
signage and web materials, securing a memorable identity anchor in the market’s imagination.
